What if you only had a short time left to live? What would YOU want to do? Dylan, who has been selected for the “United Wish Givers” program, has a rather surprising request…

ONE LAST THING… is the story of Dylan Jameison (Michael Angarano), a 16 year-old kid from an industrial town in Pennsylvania, who has terminal cancer, and who’s living life as fast as he can. When a charitable organization, “United Wish Givers,” grants Dylan a last wish, he initially chooses to go fishing with his football hero, Jason O’Malley.

But that’s not what he really wants. In a moment of inspiration during the locally televised news conference, Dylan reveals that his true final wish is to spend a weekend with supermodel Nikki Sinclair (Sunny Mabrey).

With the help of his two best friends, Slap (Gideon Glick) and Ricky (Matthew Bush), and star football player Jason O’Malley (Johnny Messner), Dylan spends his last days in Manhattan, trying to fulfill his wish, to the dismay of his single mom, Karen (Cynthia Nixon). In addition to the usual growing pains encountered by a boy his age, Dylan is faced with coming to terms with his imminent departure from this world. His resulting journey is both touching and surprisingly funny.

“POIGNANT, TEARFUL AND LAUGH-OUT-LOUD FUNNY. It feels sure of every move thanks to a pitch-perfect script by Barry Stringfellow and the accomplished direction of Alex Steyermark. It gives American independent cinema a rich new respectability.” – Rex Reed, New York Observer

“**** It makes audiences feel that life is mysterious, wonderful and grand.” – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle

“Director Steyermark gets great performances from Michael Angarano and Sunny Mabrey. They bring something special to the proceedings and make it work.” – Luke Y. Thomson, Village Voice

“MOVING, FUNNY, STARTLINGLY ORIGINAL. One of the year’s first great surprises and clearly one of its best films.” Jim Svejda KNX/CBS Radio

“UNFORGETTABLE. Don’t miss this thing.” – Stuart Lee, WNYX TV

“Intelligently-directed and gives a refreshing new take on a familiar premise. Tender and touching” – Jefffrey Lyons, NBC’s Reel Talk
